Fall of 2017 will be my 12th year teaching at Community R-VI.  I teach Biology I and II, and Physics First.  I sponsor STRIVE, NHS, Senior Class, and I coach the Envirothon team.  I hold BS and MS degrees in Animal Science from the University of MO-Columbia, took teacher certification coursework through Columbia College, and completed my Science Education Specialist Degree through the University of MO-Columbia in December 2015.  I live on a rural farm with my husband James, my pride and joy Matthew, and a collection of John Deere tractors and cattle.  I am both an MU and Cardinals fan, enjoy watching Matthew play summer ball and junior Trojan basketball, and love cheering on our Trojans in both athletic and academic aspirations.

My plan time is 5th hour, from 12:11-1:06.  I love calling home to tell my parents what wonderful things their students have been doing in my classes.  Please feel free to contact me either by calling the school phone number 1-855-708-7567 or by emailing me at utterback@cr6.net.
I am extremely excited we are starting the school year with a once in a lifetime experience, the Great American Eclipse!
I am looking forward to a successful 2017-18 school year!
